I loved the look of them and the fact they were supposed to be "safe" for my kids so I purchased 4 right off the bat. I have never been so disappointed with a product.

1. The valve doesn't stay in - EVER. With the design (there is nothing holding it in place - it's just a rubber piece that slides into a hole - keep in mind there is liquid involved to assist it to slide right out), the only way it could possibly stay in is if it wasn't ever moved around, which I don't know of too many toddlers that don't toss their sippy around. It only takes less than 2 minutes for the valve to come out then the liquid pours freely all over my house. We constantly had to fetch the valve out of the bottom of the cup with a utensil.

2. The single ply stainless is cold and sweats.

3. The rubber sleeve to prevent problem 2 is a nightmare. The directions tell you to "simply put on the bottom of the cup and roll on". It's rubber, it sticks to itself - it doesn't just "roll on". However, it's extremely easy for our kids to pull straight off so I was constantly spending over 30+ minutes reassembling the cups all day long.

4. Liquid gets up under the rubber sleeve and although the directions tell you that you can leave them on - this is not the case. We had to remove them every time we washed them to clean the gunk under it and deal with the pain of putting them back on. As the cup gets dented up (as the directions even tell you it will), the sleeves gets looser and looser, allowing more liquid to get under it. Liquid also stays up under the handles - we had dried-on milk rings.

5. They dent extremely easily - my daughter caved the entire side of hers in within 5 minutes of use, halving the size of it.

6. Even when I can get the valve to stay in, they leak profusely. The valve is too far away from the end of the spout and liquid stays trapped in-between to squirt all over the place. The directions even tell you they will leak.

7. The handles broke in half on all 4 of our cups within 2 weeks. For a $17 cup, the plastic needs to be made of something not as flimsy.

When I contacted the company to complain how awful the cups were - they ADMITTED that I'm not the only one with these same problems with the cups and that they have even tried redesigning the cups to fix the problems mentioned (particulary the valve not staying in), which apparently they did not accomplish.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much we cannot stand these cups!!! They went to the trash. The only positive thing I have to say is that I was given a prompt refund.

Do not buy into hype or pretty looks.

Thank you for the review. I'm not thrilled with the sport-type top, so I was looking at both of these products as an alternative. Given that I couldn't see them in person - your review was very helpful.
